Based in Brussel, Manitou first emerged from the local scene with a raw, unapologetic garage-rock sound. After early years of irony and playful chaos, the band found its true direction a voice of clarity, conviction, and defiance.

Now embracing a post-punk identity, Manitou channels urgency and emotion into sharp guitars, driving basslines, and a voice that wavers between rage and reflection. Their music stands at the crossroads of rebellion and introspection political, poetic, and deeply human.

Their lyrics explore political drift, digital alienation, emotional confusion, and the loss of meaning within a fractured generation. With each song, Manitou seeks not only to provoke but to connect, to turn noise into message.

As Concours Circuit semi-finalists and performers at Kultura in Liège, the band has carved a reputation for intense live performances and unfiltered sincerity. Following the release of Old Sweat (out November 7, 2025) a fierce statement against rising extremism  Manitou is set to unveil their debut album in 2026, marking the dawn of a new era.
